Dylan Eats something besides Peanutbutter and Jelly!!!!!

Trying to get Dylan to eat much of anything but Peanut buttter and Jelly sandwiches has and continues to be a challenge. Most of the time when we sit down to dinner Dylan won't eat what we have and we have to break out the peanu tbutter and jelly. I swear that kid is made of the stuff. So today when Caris was making a cup of noodles for lunch I guess Dylan wanted one too. So Caris made him one and I was totally shocked when Dylan actually started to eat the soup. We had to tell him that it was hot and that he would have to blow on it but he picked up eating with his hands as soon as he could get the noodles cool enough with his fork.

It is funny the little things that make a Mother smile. LOL I can now add another item to the lunch menu for Dylan and I so that we are able to have a little more variety when the other kids are at school once school starts again.

Pictures after Church

So I am trying to be a little better at keeping this blog up to date so that Friends and Family can see what we are doing out here in the desert. So on that note one day after church last week I took some pictures of the kids and I. Mind you we have the late church and we don't get out until 4 in the afternoon.
I totally love this picture of Dylan and Dakota my two little men. Dakota looks so handsome in his shirt and tie and then Dylan is trying to be like his older brother. I love their smiles.

All I can say about the girls is that they are beautiful and I love them very much. If you can't tell Shalynn is getting into wearing sunglasses everywhere. Caris wants to be involved in everything going on around here and Tawny is just totally excited to be moving on to middle school.

Fathers and Sons Outing

Our ward had a Fathers and Sons outing out at the Trona Pinnacles and Chris, Dakota, and Dylan had a pretty good time. They would of had a better time if the wind had not been blowing. In some of the pictures you can see all the dust and dirt in the air. All the Dads left Ridgecrest around 5 in the afternoon and they were going to go out and have a bonfire and cook hot dogs and just have a good time.
There would have been pictures of Dylan but he fell asleep in the car on the way out and you don't wake a sleeping child.
